Does a Loving GOD Actually Send People to Hell?

Does a Loving GOD Actually Send People to Hell

Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭20‬:‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I do not believe there is anyone who would purposefully choose to spend eternity in utter darkness and torment. However, based on the verse above, the answer to the question, ‘Does a Loving GOD Actually Send People to Hell?’ would seem to be yes. So, what precipitates this event at the end of time?

First, imagine you are a passenger on an airplane that is going to crash. The pilot tells you to take a parachute, put it on, and jump out of the plane before it crashes but, for whatever reason, you either decide that you do not believe the parachute will work, or you do not believe the plane is going down as the pilot has warned. Then the inevitable happens, the plane crashes and you perish without using the parachute. Is it the pilot’s fault you chose not to take the parachute?

Or imagine you are on a boat that is sinking. The crew brings you to the lifeboats and instructs you to get on before the boat sinks. You decide not to climb into the lifeboat because you think you can save yourself another way. The boat sinks eventually and you with it. Is it the crew’s fault that you chose not to get into the lifeboat?

In the beginning, GOD created everything, and it was perfect. His creation was one with Him. Unfortunately, due to the choices of Adam and Eve in the Garden (Genesis chapter 3), this changed the course of humanity, sin entered the world, and separated us from GOD.

Romans 3:23

Romans 6:23a

The Bible tells us we need a SAVIOR because we do not and cannot live up to GOD’s standard.

The Bible also tells us who that SAVIOR is:

Romans 6:23b

Matthew 1:21

John 3:16-18

So, if someone chooses to not accept JESUS as LORD and SAVIOR, dies, and ends up in hell, did GOD send that person to hell or was it the person’s choice by not believing in the SON of GOD?

Furthermore, hell was not even created for people. It was created for the devil and the fallen angels that rebelled against GOD.

Matthew 25:41

Not only was hell not created for us humans, but JESUS’ heart is for all to come to Him for salvation.

1 Timothy 2:3-6a

2 Peter 3:9

Our only hope to save us from an eternity in hell, is the Parachute or Lifeboat that GOD offers us which is JESUS CHRIST.

So how do we accept JESUS as SAVIOR?

Acts 16:30-31

Romans 10:9-11

GOD gives us all free will. We either choose to believe and accept JESUS as our LORD and SAVIOR, or we choose to reject Him.

One choice leads to eternity in heaven and one choice leads to eternity in hell.

If you know about JESUS, but never had a relationship with Him, or you aren’t sure if you are saved, go to a quiet place alone, where there are no distractions and pray this prayer. This is not about the words of the prayer as much as your heart believing and crying out to JESUS.

JESUS, I know that I am a sinner and have made so many mistakes, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and ask You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name I pray. Amen.

If you prayed that prayer or you still have questions about JESUS, GOD, LIFE, etc. please email me at papashaunscorner@yahoo.com and I’d be happy to discuss with you privately any questions you may have.

GOD BLESS,
