“I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” ‭‭

Psalms‬ ‭121:1-2‬ ‭NIV

With acts of terrorism, wars, natural disasters, financial volatility, and disease, the world is very unpredictable and dangerous. As of today, one virus alone has infected millions and killed over hundreds of thousands of people world-wide and those numbers are still likely to rise.

So who are we choosing to put our trust in to protect us? Ourselves? Our Government? Chance? Luck? To some extent, we do bear responsibility in following the directions of our local authorities: washing our hands, staying at home, social distancing, covering coughs and sneezes, and disinfect things that frequently get touched. However, is that all we can do? Is there anything or anyone else we can trust for our protection?

Yes! The Creator of the universe is the only One that we can rely on who will never fail us. He will protect us, and not just from this disease, but anything else that may come upon us. It’s about putting our faith in Him.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭NKJV

Now where does faith come from?

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:17 NKJV

We grow our faith by knowing what GOD promises in His Word and then seeing those promises played out in our lives. Let these 12 scriptures give you encouragement that GOD is someone you can trust and depend on for protection from whatever life throws your way.
